ARISE is successful, even in the most negative surroundings.
ARISE group lessons connect with troubled youth held under lock and key
in detention and secure facilities. ARISE Life Management Skills curricula, coupled with its unique
training program, guarantees success even with those offenders having serious
social and behavior problems. |
Susan and Edmund Benson, ARISE Co-Founders |
There are many fine Life Management Skills curricula available today, but none that combine the written
and spoken word like ARISE. Newly learned positive communication skills end up turning ARISE trained
instructors into mentors. This relationship transforms at-risk youth into willing, receptive listeners
comfortable sharing and absorbing big new ideas and information.
Every ARISE interactive group session opens new pathways for marginalized and disadvantaged youth
to unlock society’s unwritten laws. Combine this with ARISE’s staff training that emphasizes
positives vs. negatives fundamentally changing the culture and the way care givers interact with
youth in their charge.
Since 1986 ARISE has worked because Edmund Benson, a successful entrepreneur, former rebel,
and school dropout, teamed up with Susan Benson, an educator with a Masters Degree and a gift
for making learning and living fun. As a team, the ARISE founders have succeeded in writing
easily understood life skills lessons specifically for at risk children of all ages. Those
youth angered, traumatized, and frustrated by their inability to understand or “get it” in
classroom settings finally find success in ARISE. The Bensons also developed a winning formula
for training staff to effectively teach ARISE curricula in enjoyable, interactive group sessions.
You also benefit because ARISE, this non-profit run by the Bensons, is their life and passion.
This provides you with the luxury of being able to ask questions and receive guidance directly
from these two icons whose prime interests are promoting positive behavior, protecting high risk
youth from gang culture, and helping youth to refrain from socially unacceptable activities.
Your success implementing ARISE is guaranteed, because every word, book, and program has
been personally created, written, taught, and managed by the ARISE founders. They are never farther
from you than an e-mail: Susan Benson at sbenson@arisefoundation.org,
or Edmund Benson at ebenson@arisefoundation.org.
