ARISE Life Skill Staff Training Opportunities |
|
ARISE Foundation's mission is to introduce valuable life skills to youth and adults, enabling them to achieve their highest potential through training and education. This is accomplished through our life skills training program and ARISE Life-Skills Curriculum.
You don’t have to hold a college degree in education to be trained as an ARISE instructor. ARISE is taught by those with GED diplomas, volunteers, teachers, counselors—anyone with a desire to help young people. Please click on the following link to see our ARISE Recipe for Success.
Currently, ARISE offers three highly interactive and informative trainings. We have provided below a brief description of each ARISE staff training opportunity. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

| ARISE CHOICES: Drop it at the Door |
|
CHOICES is a workshop for staff that are employed in difficult work environments. This workshop centers on managing anger, stress, and negativity, as well as building good communication and interpersonal techniques at work and at home. This training will make for happier, healthier employees and will improve individual effectiveness, staff turnover, and job satisfaction.

| ARISE Life-Skills Instructor Training & Certification |
|
After participating in this training, attendees become Certified ARISE Life-Skills Instructors. This training is designed for those individuals working directly with at-risk youth teaching ARISE life-skill lessons. Staff are trained on how to effectively use the ARISE materials in a group setting as well as handle troublemakers and those who act out by modeling and creating an atmosphere of mutual respect and understanding.

| ARISE Master Life-Skills Training (Train the Trainer) |
In this five-day intensive training you will be professionally certified as an ARISE Master Life-Skills Trainer. This training is perfect for anyone interested in training their staff and colleagues to teach life skills for years to come. It certifies the attendees to conduct the one-day, seven-hour ARISE Life-Skills Instructor Training with others to prepare them to work directly with the youth using the complete library of ARISE curricula created specifically for at-risk youth. Participants will be confident and comfortable in providing exceptional training to others and have the insight needed to work directly and effectively with at-risk youth. |
| ARISE Life Skills Instructor Advanced Certification |
| ARISE Girls Initiative: Gender Specific Awareness Training |
The ARISE Girls Initiative Gender Awareness Training is for adults working in a professional or personal capacity with young women. In this one-day (7-hour) training, participants will learn how to address the needs of this vulnerable population. They will also learn about the many specific ways in which young women are different than young men.
