SCHOOL TEAMS PARENTS, KIDS ON SCIENCE PROJECTS

Comstock Elementary is giving parents the opportunity to help their children with their science fair projects through a program called P.E.A.R.L.S. (Parents who Encourage Achievement in Reading, Learning and Self-Esteem). This event will take place at 8:30 p.m. Dec. 8 at the school, 2420 NW 18th St. Pledging to make a difference in the environment is what 26,000 second-grade students from Dade County Public Schools did on Nov. 17. They were sworn in as Enviro-Cops and each received a membership card and an environmental coloring book.
