The Big ARISE Safety Book is ideal for elementary school-aged children coming from a Spanish-speaking culture as it contains English/Spanish translations. At ARISE, it is our hope that these lessons will be used to make children aware, at the earliest possible age, of the importance of being safe at home and away.

Dear Mr. Benson,
The purpose of this letter is to advise you that I cannot keep enough booklets of 10-20-Life in stock in my classroom. The reason for this occurrence is that that students keep taking them to their units and home. They find this booklet the most informative piece of literature, striking a real cord with them. They read it over and over, and do all the activities in the back. Hence, my reordering of the books.
I teach law studies at the Miami-Dade Juvenile Justice Detention Center, and students are very interested in the class since most of their time is occupied with law or they are worried about some issues in law. I tried to bring some understanding to their present state of being and I teach out of a textbook titled Street Law. I teach everything from criminal law to juvenile justice, torts and contract. But students find this textbooklet the most interesting in the course. It really strikes home with them.

This sample poison prevention material is offered free of charge by ARISE in the hope it will be used to reduce the incidences of childhood poisoning. The material is designed to be used as a week long event by teachers in classroom settings.
ARISE has used this material in the Miami-Dade public school system and has educated over 25,000 upper elementary school age children each year during Poison Prevention Week.
